Family run cottages
We offer 2 cosy Holiday Cottages on our farm nestled in the charming and quiet village of Regil, in the Parish of Winford, in the beautiful Chew Valley. The village dates from before Doomsday and has a population of about 250 people.
Facilities:
The main farmhouse was built over 400 years ago and has been farmed by our family for the last 6 generations. Ours is a working farm with sheep, cattle, free range hens and we grow a mix of forage and arable crops. Being in Somerset we even make our own cider using apples from our orchard!
From milking parlour to cosy stays...
This cottage has two bedrooms (one double and one twin), a bathroom with powerful shower and bath, a modern kitchen fitted with easy to use cooking equipment including microwave. The lounge/dinning room is very comfortable. This cottage sleeps 4 people. Cots and high chairs are available in both cottages.
The Old Parlour used to be the old milk house on the farm and is now converted into this beautiful cottage. The Old Cowshed used to house the cows next door to the parlour. The cows would then come in to this building twice a day to be milked. However due to advances in farming the cows are now milked in a modern parlour elsewhere on the farm.
Facilities:
From cowshed to beautiful holidays
The Old Cowshed has one spacious double bedroom, with a beautiful en-suite shower room, again a fully fitted modern kitchen and a large cosy lounge/dinning room. This cottage sleeps 2 people, and also has a sofa/bed. (which can sleep 2 extra). Cots and high chairs are available in both cottages.
Both cottage are superbly decorated and beautifully finished to give a very warm and cosy feel. The cottages are fully equipped with excellent kitchen facilities. There is a shared garden with separated outdoor furniture and a BBQ for each cottage.
